Pallipuram church procession was on 15 August as part of the annual festival of Mother Mary. The church is located 10 km from Cherthala in Alapuzha Dt, Kerala. The meat shops selling pork is another specialty. The specialties of the church include - The first church made by St Thomas in India, Miraculous painting of Mother Mary and infant Jesus by St Luke (located at the second level in the 16th century Portuguese made wooden altar, Wooden cross supposed to be made by St Thomas. The cross has be thrown in the Vembanad backwaters by miscreant and later discovered near Mattel church. Blessed Fr Chavara Kuriakose was vicar of the church. The baptistery of his tome is located near the 150 year old seminary building. One can see old inscriptions related to the church. Ancient well used by Fr Malpan, founder of CMI sect.

St Philomena's church : St Philomena's church Mysore is one of the highest Gothic churches (55 m) in India. The church was designed by Dally, a French similar to Germany's Cologne cathedral. The church can accommodate 800 people and having stained glass windows depicting scenes from the birth of Christ, the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Ascension of Christ. There is also an underground tomb. Saint Philomena is a saint and martyr of the Roman Catholic Church. She is said to have been a young Greek princess martyred in the 4th century. The remains of a teenage girl no older than 14 were discovered on May 24, 1802 in the Catacombs of Saint Priscilla at the Via Salaria in Rome.
